Presentation will cover the following topics including molar incisor hypo mineralization (MIH), space maintainers, dental trauma, treatment planning and treatment modalities.Â
Dr. Safina Dhanji grew up in Markham, Ontario and received her undergraduate degree at the University of Western Ontario, where she earned a bachelor’s degree with honours in Biomedical Sciences. She then went on to complete her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree at Boston University with the highest distinction and awards. Most notably, the Spencer N. Frankl Award, and the Boston University Award for Pediatric Dentistry. She was also inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU) National Dental Honors Society. Upon completion, Dr. Dhanji continued her training at Boston University to earn her specialty degree in Paediatric Dentistry. During her extensive postdoctoral training, she worked at Franciscan Children’s Hospital and Boston Medical Center treating children with extensive dental needs and various special needs. She then returned to Toronto and is currently practicing at Dentistry 4 Kids in Ajax, Ontario and is looking forward to providing paediatric dental services in Orillia. Dr. Dhanji whole heartedly believes in community service; she has participated in service trips to Tanzania through the Aga Khan Health Services & the Abulcasis Dental Alliance. Her practice philosophy includes taking extra time to get to know each and every one of her patients and making each experience a fun and positive one. During her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends and cooking!
